We are actively looking for experienced Mechanical and Electrical Draftsmen to join our team in Doha, Qatar. Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical or Electrical Draftsman, your primary responsibility will be to create precise technical drawings and plans for mechanical and electrical systems. Your key tasks will include:
- Drafting Technical Drawings:
- Prepare detailed drawings for mechanical or electrical systems based on specifications and requirements from engineers.
- Use CAD software to create and modify designs that meet project needs and standards.
- Review and verify drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaboration with Engineers:
- Work closely with mechanical and electrical engineers to understand the technical aspects of projects.
- Assist engineers by providing updated drawings based on feedback and project changes.
- Ensure all technical drawings are aligned with the project scope, budget, and timeline.
- Documenting and Organizing Drawings:
- Maintain and organize all drawings, specifications, and project documents for easy access.
- Ensure all documents are updated regularly and are easily accessible for future reference.
- Ensuring Compliance:
- Ensure that all drawings comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Assist in making any necessary revisions based on feedback or compliance requirements.
- Support During Construction:
- Provide technical support during the construction phase by answering questions and providing clarifications related to the drawings.
- Make adjustments to drawings as required to reflect on-site changes or challenges.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical or electrical drafting.
- Hands-on experience in using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software, such as AutoCAD or similar programs.
- Previous experience in creating detailed, accurate drawings for engineering projects.
- Education:
- A diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Additional certifications in drafting or CAD software will be an advantage.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, and other design tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering concepts and the ability to translate them into clear and detailed drawings.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams.
- Communication:
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineers and project managers.
- Ability to present ideas and solutions clearly in written and verbal formats.
- Visa and Location:
- Candidates must be locally available in Qatar and hold a valid QID (Qatar ID).
