Responsibilities:
As the Company Doctor, your key responsibilities will include:
- Employee Health Management:
- Provide general medical care to employees, including diagnosing and treating common illnesses and injuries.
- Conduct health assessments and periodic medical check-ups to monitor the well-being of employees.
- Offer advice on preventative health measures and wellness initiatives to promote a healthy workplace.
- Occupational Health Support:
- Focus on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Advise on workplace safety protocols and recommend health interventions to reduce workplace risks.
- Monitor employees’ fitness for work and assist with the management of workplace injuries or illnesses.
- Medical Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records of employees’ health conditions and treatments.
- Prepare medical reports when necessary, especially in cases of work-related health issues.
- Document and report any workplace injuries in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Emergency Care:
- Provide first aid and emergency medical care when required, especially in cases of workplace accidents.
- Ensure that all medical emergencies are handled swiftly and efficiently to minimize health risks to employees.
- Health Education:
- Provide health education sessions to employees, focusing on topics such as stress management, nutrition, and workplace safety.
- Promote mental health awareness and well-being within the workplace, offering support and guidance as needed.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Company Doctor position, you should meet the following qualifications:
- Medical Degree:
- A Medical Degree (MD) or its equivalent from a recognized medical school is required.
- License:
- A valid QCHP (Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners) license to practice in Qatar is a must. This ensures that you are authorized to provide medical care in the country.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in occupational health is highly preferred, though not mandatory.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of general medical practice experience is required.
- Experience in a corporate or industrial setting is an added advantage.
- Skills:
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with employees and other health professionals.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and professionally.
