Urgently Required Accountant (Local Transfer)

We are urgently looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Galali, Bahrain. This position is open to local transfers only (candidates currently living in Bahrain) and is ideal for someone with solid experience in accounting procedures and strong proficiency with accounting software. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial tasks, ensuring accurate reporting, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. You will play a critical role in maintaining financial records, performing routine accounting functions, and assisting with financial audits.

Responsibilities: As an Accountant, your daily tasks will include, but are not limited to:

1. Financial Record Keeping:
   • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
   • Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports as required.
2. Bookkeeping:
   • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring invoices are processed on time.
   • Track and reconcile bank transactions, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
3. Accounting Software:
   • Use accounting software to record financial transactions, process payroll, and generate reports.
   • Ensure proper integration of all financial systems for smooth operations.
4. Tax and Compliance:
   • Assist with tax filings, ensuring compliance with Bahrain’s tax regulations.
   • Prepare and submit VAT returns and other regulatory reports on time.
5. Budgeting and Forecasting:
   • Assist in budgeting, tracking expenses, and preparing financial forecasts to support decision-making.
6. Auditing and Reporting:
   • Assist with internal audits, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
   • Provide financial reports to management and stakeholders as needed.
7. Cash Flow Management:
   • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company has enough liquidity for operations.
   • Assist in financial planning and forecasting for the business.

In this role, you will ensure that the organization’s finances are managed efficiently and that financial reporting meets all internal and external requirements.

Qualifications: To be considered for the Accountant position, the following qualifications are required:

1. Experience:
   • At least 2-3 years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of accounting procedures and principles.
2. Accounting Software Knowledge:
   • Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar platforms, is essential.
3. Technical Skills:
   • Good computer skills and a solid understanding of Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting.
4. Education:
   • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Professional certifications, such as CPA or ACCA, are a plus but not mandatory.
5. Attention to Detail:
   • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies in financial records.
6. Communication Skills:
   • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
7. Local Transfer Requirement:
   • This position is only available to candidates who are currently living in Bahrain and available for local transfer.

   • Preference will be given to candidates who live in Galali or Hidd areas.
